Description
Kangchenjunga is the third highest mountain in the world and the second highest in Nepal. Kanchenjunga is translated along the lines of "Five Treasures of the Snow" and the main peak is 8586m high.The recently opened Kanchenjanga region offers the keen walkers the chance to explore a totally unspoilt upland wilderness, which offers a most beautiful and contrasting variety of scenery. Lush farmland and wooded valleys give way, higher up, to breathtaking mountain scenery, which includes close-up views of Kanchanjanga and also distant panoramas of the mountains of the Khumbu.
A journey to this area is a special treat- starting from the tropical lowlands through great rhododendron forests and lovely villages of east Nepal upto the glacier and overwhelming views. A trek to the south and north faces of the world's third highest peak offers fantastic mountain views, including Everest. It provides you with an adventure, which will stay forever. One of the most remote and beautiful areas in Nepal, which, unused to foreign visitors, still lies shrouded in mystery. The features of the walk in are pleasant villages with different ethic groups then in the high regions, glorious mountains and abundant wildlife. The trails climb from 1200 meters (4,000ft) to 5180 meters (17,094ft) above sea level.

The trails climb from 1200 meters (4,000ft) to 5180 meters (17,094ft) above sea level. Though the return trek follows mostly the same route, everything looks different in reverse and you are likely to see many things missed on the walk in. Though the trek is not unduly strenuous and the height gain is gradual, the cumulative effects of altitude and walking day after day create their own challenges.

Day 02: Early morning flight to Taplejung.
Day 03: Trek to Chirwa (1190m).
Day 04: Trek to Sakathum (1640m).
Day 05: Trek to Amjilassa (2490m).
Day 06: Trek to Gyabla (2730m).
Day 07: Trek to Gunsa (3430m).
Day 08: Trek to Khambachen (4040m).
Day 09: Trek to Lhonak (4790m).
Day 10: Rest day and acclimatization at Lhonak.
Day 11: Trek to Pang Pema (5180m).
Day 12: Trek to Ramtang.
Day 13: Trek to Ghunsa.
Day 14 - 16: 3 days trek from Ghunsa to reach Ramche at 4620m.
Day 17: Trek to Tseram (3870m).
Day 18: Trek to Toranton (2990m).\
Day 19: Trek to Yamphudin (1690m).
Day 20: Trek to Khesewa (1960m).
Day 21: Trek to Lali Kharka (2220m).
Day 22: Trek to Suketar (2300m).
Day 23: Fly Taplejung/Biratnagar/Kathmandu.
